to each their own. try some diff settings. I run SW -9 TQ-6, TIMING-2 OR 3 DURATION 2-3 AND TSTPM 7-9 ALL DAY. FUEL ECON. I use. SW-1 TQ-6 TIMING-4 DURATION 1. every truck with its set up will act diff and perf diff pending driver. so change it up and see what you like the best pending your driving. that is the nice thing of it being so tunable.

3 years trouble free like the fact I can drive around and not have to look at it. can set it and forget about it. with the smarty and bigger sticks this is a great combo. TST is only fueling so I can tune the timing the way I would like with the smarty.

With manual tranny....TQ settings are basically immaterial! But milder may help with cruise.
For Injector duration I follow directions... set based on size of your injectors.

Key for me is settings that allow Criuse Control to function smoothly while Smarty is set on at least #7. Can be tricky.
Experiment!.... it's half the fun.

well I dont know the TQ setting from 1 to 6 there is a big differance in how fast my truck launches. also a diff on the ammount of smoke. so unless I'm the only manulal that feels a diff its not immaterial. but with manual no matter what setting no change with cruise. has always worked.

Interesting! I assumed the TQ setting was for the TQ Mgmt Program on automatics. Sounds like it's more of a fueling setting?

On my CTD, and several friends 6 speeds, the higher # settings, and the longer fuel duration settings, DO make the cruise control never settle down. Searches full time with boost fluctuating at cruise of about +/- 10 psi.

I run duration on default. It gets choppy when I add duration.
