Well I'm still having surging problems with my old truck. I brought it to the second Dodge dealership today. This one was just as confused as the last one. They will check for codes but cannot talk with the truck. "the truck computer is confussed", yea right . Anyway they are saying that with my mods, the computer doesn't know how much fuel when, how much boost when. (This is with my EZ Comp completely disconnected/or connected). Would the Smarty programs help disable the truck unit and possibly make the old truck run better?

has the dealers tried a reflash?the smarty may help you,it gives you the latest issue of the software.

 

You might not believe this but I asked the first dealer to reflash, He said he could not with out a reason. I told him the truck is running bad and I wanted it reflashed. He then took me to his computer and showed me a list of reasons which none were because the customer wanted to pay for one. I just quit discussing the issue and left. If the Smarty can possibly fix the problem I will purchase one.

Well, If the deal knew what they were doing (witch none of the do) The would check to make sure all the connection were good between the ALD and the computer's. Then check for good grounds. Check for good Power getting to the computer's. This all takes and wire diagram and time. If all that's good. Replace computer. Witch computer is the main link? I would think the Pcm. I don't know. Most of your scanner's will have a trouble shooting process for a computer that won't talk. Again, it' takes time to figure the mess out.

Don't think the Smarty will help the stumble. I just installed the software this
past Tuesday 3/21. The stumble/miss is still there, but the added off the
line response was worth the price. I installed #7 software and have been
ever since. I hope one day to find out what causes this stumble.

I would also think if the scanner can't talk to the computer. The Smarty won't either
