TST or COMP

im looking into getting a new chip for my truck in a few months, but i cant decide between a TST or an Edge comp. i have an EZ now, and ive heard you can stack it with the TST but is that better than the comp its self?

Since you already have a EZ, you should get the TST.

well the Bluechip is a little out of my price range unfortunatly! i have heard good things about those but i can only wish! with the TST can you tow with it still.....i dont tow much, a skid steer ona goose neck and cattle....and one more quiestion....the Superchips D-BOX is just a relabeld EZ right? just want to make sure......it came with the truck when i bought it.

Edge has come out with the Juice with Attitude for our second gen trucks and will be in stock soon. Maybe you could sell your EZ and go this route.

Just a thought!

Make sure you're supplying your IP enough fuel before trying to use more. FP guage and LP first. Injector pumps are expensive

The EZ stacked on a TST box is a great combo. Ran that set up for 2 yrs. There was/is a TST in the Classified Section as of last week?

EZ/TST vs Comp seems to be a draw. People that have either... love what they have. Report on which puts out more HP seem to be equal... favoring one or the other. I suspect they are very close. Your stock clutch wont like either ...... depending on your driving style. Both are adjustable, so towing is no problem.

Only set up that is better, IMO, is the Smarty/TST combo. It would be more expensive... your call.

Yeah like they said, since you already have the EZ, go with the tst or smarty. But if you didn't have the EZ, I would say go with the Edge Drag Comp

Only difference is the Drag doesn't defuel at 2700. I'm not exactly sure what it will fuel to but I think it is 3500-3600. I think only the Bluechip redline fuels more and that is to 4000. The Smarty's allow fueling to 3550.

Higher defueling is nice if your rowing through the gears...but with an automatic (Seabee + I) anything over 3000 is meaningless, so any of the non defuelers will work!
I leave OD locked out to about 2900 rpm so it shifts at about 3000.

Does anyone with a 5 or 6 speed (24v) actually wind the gears out to 3500+??
