I've got the TST PM3 Comp and am happy with it. Level 9 can and will shudder the whole truck if you let off the go pedal too quick (not while shifting though) and being that it's adjustable you can control egt's while towing. A buddy of mine is sending me his old EZ to try a stack combo with it, but if that doesn't produce any good results, I'll go with the Smarty.
RJ, I rarely hit 3k rpm's....sometimes, but not often I'll go to around 3100 or 3200

I leave OD locked out to about 2900 rpm so it shifts at about 3000.

Does anyone with a 5 or 6 speed (24v) actually wind the gears out to 3500+??

RJ
With my 410 gears, the 6 speed and the Smarty, I start thinking about shifting at 3000 and by the time I do shift it is around 3500. Now this is not everyday driving, only when doing a quick acceleration run. It is kind of hard not to shift around 3500 as quickly as the rpm's climb with my gear set when the engine does not defuel itself.

The Edge Drag Comp does not defuel until 3200RPMs.

I am going to upgrade from my VanAaken shortly.

I am really leaning towards getting the EDGE Juice with attitude. Has a lot of nice features. My roommate has one on his Duramax and it makes me want to get one.

If I don't, I'm thinkin Smarty. Then stack it with the TST Power Max adjustable on level 2 or 3.

The attitude is nice though, because then I can ditch my analog gauges, and have boost, fuel pressure, egt on the monitor, plus it gives you actual speed, RPM, engine temp, tranny temp, etc.

Also, the nice thing about it is you can set it to defuel at a set EGT. Which I think is nice because I plan on installing injectors as well.

Just some food for thought.

I went right to the horse himself. Mark Chappel retired from Cummins and started TST Products.

Bought a used TST last week. Should arrive when I return from vacation. Hopefully I'll have some comments on how it compares to the Edge comp. It'll be tough as the Edge comp is formidable currently, especially with my other mods. Obviously though I expect the TST to be stronger, with my Smarty doing the timing. We shall see I suppose.

for the person that asked about 3000+ shifting the tst will turn 3800 with my 6 speed and 4.10s but its pointless to go over 3000 because peak tq and hp are under 3000

Keep us up to date. I may go to a TST if it is indeed better stacked with Smarty. I'd like to see a dyno run comparing the two, stacked with a smarty.

There are like 3 levels of TST. Are you guys all talking about just the basic model or an adjustable one?

I guess I would just rather get the #2 and leave it on all the time. I don't see the need for changing all the time. I guess I change the HP by letting up on the go peddle.
