smarty and 100horse injectors
i used to have a edge EZ with 100 horse injectors on a stock turob. i thought this setup would go pretty good. well i sold the edge and im looking at the smarty for my next box, my ? here is how would that be compared to the EZ with the injectors?..would it be a big deffernce in power? would it be worth the money to do a smarty over an edge comp?

The smarty love injectors upgrades. I put my one truck back to stock and played around with it to feel a difference, once I put a set of injectors in it it really brought it to life. I was suprised how well it worked.

Smarty
My '99 was equipped w/mach 1.6 injectors(90hp) and an EZ. I borrowed a Smarty from Bob Wagner. The difference was night and day on the low end. With my BHAF and stock turbo you had to watch the go peddle as smoke was an issue. The vehicle fuels so much lower in the rpm level,it takes a few seconds for everything to level out. It just a learning curve to minimize the smoke. I did have a DTT auto which is necessary w/injectors or a beefed up clutch. Bob used to have loaners out there. Try before you buy. Even new ones come with a buy back guarantee.

If you don't want all out power, and don't wanna tap the wire, I wouldn't see any reason to go with a Comp over a Smarty, the Smarty would give you the same overall power, everyone that has one loves the driveablity, and is a code reader.

Peak power (the "number") will be about the same on a Smarty as an EZ. But the Smarty is a lot more responsive on the bottom end-- the truck will actually MOVE-- not just make smoke-- when you get on it.
I've had the EZ and now have a Smarty. I much prefer the latter. The only way to add more power than a Smarty is to tap the wire.
