should i weld the exhaust or use clamps???
just bought a 4" rip system and am wondering if i should just mig weld everything after everything is fit checked and adjusted??any input?
if you have access to a mig with .030 or smaller wire you can ensure a sealed system, if you are a bit sketchy on your welding leave it alone, there is not much steel to suck the heat out of your weld. In my opinion a welded system is the best as there is no way for corrosion in the joints as they are sealed, flip side clamps work good most of the time and let you take the system out, but how many times have you pulled your whole exhaust system out?

Band clamps work great.....and I've had to remove various parts at different times. Dropping the front half made it easier to get the trans out.....
Never had a leak with the band clamps and it makes the exhaust a snap to take apart and put back together.

The stainless steel band clamps work well, if for any reason you need to move or adjust pipes you can.works better than welding or muffler clamps.
