KDP use JB weld?
KDP use JB weld?
A few years back I addressed the kdp by putting it back in with jb weld, no tab. Has anyone had any problems with it dropping back out after doing it this way? Should I have just left it out? Thanks for any input
I don`t know why you would take a chance like that with JB weld.I tab mine and I know it can`t come out and mess up the gears.I can now sit back and not worry about the KDP again. Its a bit of work to do and then wonder if you have fixed the kdp.
I would think the J-B Weld would just crack and be as good as nothing.
Simple and free way to contain the KDP if it's still recessed or can be pounded down below the level of the cover a little bit is to use a punch to peen over the edge of the hole a little bit.
You really only have to use a tab if the dowel pin is protruding.

i would have to agree when i did mine i used a tab cuz it was flush with back of case (inside) i would never use jb weld on kdp. its only going to break off then you have two pecies of debrie. sorry.
