removing boost elbow

Why cant you take your elbow out of the turbo and just plug the housing with a pipe plug?

You can, but you'll probably have more boost than you need which will hurt the power. With enough fuel you'll be able to overboost the turbo and kill it. I wouldn't recommend disabling the wastegate entirely. Get an adjustable elbow or a Turbo Master.

I did this because i was only seeing about 26psi at wot with ez and 275s shouldnt it be higher . Pluged it produces 35psi

35 psi won't hurt it. The wastegate was limiting your boost before. Did your EGT's go down?

My egt get about 1300 and thats running wot up through all the gears. How much boost at this set up is too much boost?Thanks for the info.

I've got a comp and 275's with the elbow ...........I get 38lbs of boost
