recommend street tire and rim combo for 33x12.50x18?

Ive been wracking my brains and my web browser trying to find a tire and rim combo thats 33x12.50 (16, 17 or 18 in diameter) where the tires are street only with a tight tread pattern not intended for mud.
Im trying to get something thats got good traction with as large a contact patch as I can get to assist in braking and acceleration. My BFGs are just too aggressive a tread pattern to stick well. Skidding and sliding isnt so much fun after all!.
Is anyone running a setup like this?

I know a few guys runnin these nitto terra grappler AT's and they seem to love them as for a 33 12.50 they dont come in but they do come in a 285/65/18 which is pretty dang close to a 33.

I'm going to change over to 16 or 17 inch rims, lots of options there, go to tire rack .com they seem to have loads of choices.

example : 285 60 15
formula 285 X .60 x 2 / 25.4 + 15 = o.d. 28.1 inches

285/65/18 works out to 11 inches in width. Im trying to stay with 12.5 if I can so theres more contact with the road. The skidding problem is scary...
I found some close sizes with the nitto dune grappler but Im not sure how good of a street tire it is

I run Toyo proxes ST II's on mine. I got them at treaddepot.com. They are a good tire with good traction. I'm not sure of the exact size you want but I'm sure you could get close. Also becarefull on going too wide they will find a puddle of water and hydroplane faster.

285/75/16 is close in size, Michelin makes a decent street tire, though they are spendy. I like my LTX-MS in that size, great handling, and long lasting.

The BFG doesnt give me much grip when im trying to stop. they lock up and slide. Sure there are more aggressive tread patterns out there, but I already have a set of wheels that are good for snow and mud. I just want to be able to stop and accelerate without sliding around.
Id like to go with a larger diameter wheel to help with the braking but I dont think I can fit 35's in there without them rubbing.
