Radio Replacement

I am going to have to replace my stock radio. My CD player has crapped out. I have the one that has the CD/Cassette/am/fm /equalizer unit, that looks twice the size of a regular radio. I would like to have good stock replacement that will accept the use of my XM unit. I am not interested in booming up and down the road. I appreciate any and all ideas.

check out www.crutchfield.com....good prices, quality and they're support staff is great. Many replacements will have plugs for direct connection to your XM. Give them a call or go online for specs but I'm sure you'll be able to find one.

You might check out this site. Got a good deal from them when I bought my Kenwood, and received good service.

X2 for Crutchfield. Look for a DIN and a half radio To fill the stock hole. They have the adapters for mounting and the wiring.

I had the same thing happen to me last year. I went with a 200 dollar JVC unit. Its nothing special with a CD player, AM/FM, and MP3/aux port. A 10 dollar dash kit fixed the size issue, and a 10 dollar wire harness wired everything up right. Total removal and install time was maybe 1.5 hrs.

You have a sized din and a half radio as has been said. I have yet to find a good din and a half that I like. I ended up getting a nice adapter and a regular din sized Alpine radio. I like alpine alot. just an thought.

Doesn't your XM have a FM frequency? My Delphi XM does, so I just run that off the stock cassette radio. You could probably find a free cassette radio on here for free if you chose that way. Not fancy by anymeans, but works well.
