On the Comp file surging is under 1500 RPMs under light throttle on my 5 speed. No surging under heavy throttle.

well i had an interesting test drive. surging happens at 1500 when light throttle is applied, 1900 when about half throttle is applied, this is just consistant acceleration. i still think it is load sensitive, what i mean is when the transmission is about to shift it surges. when mashed it of course doesnt surge. the idle lope is pretty aggressive too, i got a bunch of videos on my phone of it, told a 12v buddy i put a cam in and had him drive next to me . it happens when coming to a stop and i even got it to die once when i first started the truck and blipped the throttle while in gear. the monitor still changes from EGT reading to BOOST when i stomp on it, im not 100% positive but i believe the swapping of readings on the monitor occurs once the defueling comes into effect. i pulled into a drive through and wasnt able to shut the truck off without pulling a fuse, it is still not responding to brake input to shut off the turbo timer.

i think the reason i didnt think this file pulls as hard is the fact that it was defueling.. my mistake.

I'm still running
20071027
FACT10PL

Surging is most severe under light to moderate throttle when at 18-22psi boost. boost will drop and RPMs will flutter. If I am the throttle heavy it blows by 20psi so fast I can tell... Other than that surging is noticeable on levels PL2-10 at cruise... normally 10-14psi boost approx 1900-2000RPM

Light throttle 1600rpm and 1900rpm's. It seems to be different with every gear. When the high idle ramps up, it idles rough. It seems like it's an TPS thing? I'm not sure if that could be but it seems like it. Sitting with my truck when the idle is rough, I switch to PL00 and it's smooth, change to PL1-PL10, truck idles rough?

Assume your talking to Quad...not Lotero.
Great idea if he's available. See some dyno charts too.

Hang tight, I think I have the rough idle problem solved.

SHould have some good updates this afternoon.

Also, due to a crazy number of emails and pm's here is what I am doing at least for now on the High Idle and TT shutoff.

On 98-00 trucks I am using the Throttle to kill them. Any amount of throttle should stop it on the spot. On 01-02 trucks, same thing but, I am going to leave the brake pedal as an option.

I was just gona say on the edge thats the way it kills the turbo timer, and I got a manual with remote start and it works just fine having it set up that way.

Is there a problem Downloading the file with Windows XP? I cannot get it to work. Here is the message I get... "One of the USB Devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it."

Any ideas?

I dig using the brake to kill it as that how my Remote Start is setup. Either way will truely work for me but glad you are leaving as an option.

it does that every time, when you go to upload a new program open the quadzilla box that you use to upload the new problem and hit update module, wait for it to do its knight rider thing with the little bar moving back and forth and THEN plug in the module, works better that way.

I didn'y notice any surging in any of the first five levels haven't tried the last 5 yet. The turbo timer won't shut off hitting the brake pedal, but I see you have updates coming for that. I haven't got it hot enough to check the defueling out yet. I will do some more testing tomorrow and reply then.

I downloaded the new 10 level file this morning with intentions of loading it to the box...but if you're gonna adjust things a little just let us know when it's available and I'll wait to load that file instead of the other...
