Ordered a Superchip Programmer
I ordered a Superchip Programmer today from Ebay and got a real good deal on it. Right now my truck is stock so what should I expect from it? I don't want to tear anything up either so what setting should I put it on when towing my 8000 lb camper? Any advice on what not to do from you guys that already have one?

from what ive read here on the superchips you dont have to worry about tearing anything up,they only give you 40hp to the rears.do a search on this site and you will see.they are not the most popular programmer.hope you got a screamin deal.

Buddy of mine with a 02 dually 6spd dynoed 188 stock horsepower, with the superchips on he dynoed 212 but it really flattened out his horsepwer curve.

I'm not looking for anything wild, just more power. I had narrowed it down between the EZ and the Superchips. The advertised HP and TQ gains were about the same and the Superchips had an advantage of also being a code reader. I don't drag race or anything like that since this is my daily driver. I'm just looking for a little more umph.

thats the problem with the superchips, they advertise way more than what it can actually do,the ez is the most popular and i believe if you do a search the advertised hp on the ez is what you get on the dyno.

I would love to have one but it's way out of my price range. I will only tow a couple of times a month max.

Tell that to my wife! She doesn't know that I ordered the Superchips-I'm having it delivered to my work. Hopefully I won't get caught and then have to buy her something too.

I have both and my personal prevrince is the SC for towing it works a lot better I keep mine in the high performance mode for towing and the egt's are about the same as sock.I pulled my 15000 lb 5ver one time with the EZ and took it back off it would not do what the SC will. The SC also reprograms the shift points.

I had the superchips and got rid of it for my comp which I ran in EZ mode for a while. I think the superchips on the hi-perf mode made more power. This is just the seat of pants no dyno numbers. If you got a good deal then I think you will be happy plus you get the code reader and can adjust for different size tires.
