NV4500 swap clutch mount help

I'm in the middle of swapping in a nv4500 swap. I questioned whether it was worth it but I picked my truck up with all the mods for $6000 and a 1996 single cab longbed with 309,000 miles for $2000 for a donor. Body is beat to hell but ran and drove great and has a flatbed I'll use also. Anyways, so far I've figured most of it out but its time consuming. Replaced lift pump, fuel heater delete, rear main and eliminated some wiring along the way. My main issue is everyone says to pull the pedal rod for the clutch and brake pedal and swap them over. Then install the clutch hydraulics. Problem I have is the mount for the clutch hydros is different on both brackets. 98 is just flat plate with a round hole. The 96 has a small box molded into the bracket with the cutout for the clutch to twist into. Anyone else run into this issue? The first pic is the bracket in the 98. The other 2 are the 96.

The hydro master is different, the '94-'97 being one style.
'98-'02 being another.
Get a later hydro master and you should be good to go.

There is a bracket that bolts to the outside of the cab that goes through pedal assembly on the '98's. If you don't have that bracket, it makes more sense to use the '96 pedal assembly so the clutch master cylinder actually attaches.

Thanks for the replies. I went to the local dealer and looked at one for a 98 and it will bolt right in so no big deal. I ordered one from car quest. Dealer wanted $460! I told them I could go southbend for a lot cheaper than that. I don't know how those guys sleep at night. Car Quest was $195.
