Ok ive owned a 12v so im not new to diesels or anything but this is my first 24v.
Ok Whats the most cost friendly CHip that gives me the most power. A dealer here in town sells Bullydogs for 385.00 are those anygood? I also seen the quadzillas cheaper prices on ebay but im guessing you get what you pay for.
I dont Pull alot of heavy loads mostly 20ft car hauler ever now and ide like to enter some local charity sled pulls nothing major, Ok my 12v smoked like a ****
I also GOT to have smoke. ok now you know what im wanting outta a chip now tell me the cheapest best one i can get thall give me that.

 

You know about the fuel pressure issues on the 24v?

You want smoke? Used Edge Comp would be the cheapest route, but remember that we have enough regulations, smog tests, etc

 

been reading about that smoker switch, first i ever heard of it anyone have a tech write up or can someone take a pic of the what i need to do? Will it give me any smoke with out chip or anything? Im completly new to 24v's so sorry if my ???'s seem a little dumb.

 

Never mind i found a answer to the will it work on a stock truck with no comp box and the answer i found is NO. guess ill search ebay for a used edge.

 

Guages and a lift pump upgrade would be a good start. Plenty of deals in DTR classifieds for boxes and such.

 

You going to need some injectors and a good wire tap box to get smoke from a 24valve.

First thing is first
auto or manual? Going to need to build it to hold the extra power.
Check your fuel pressure and verify your lift pump is up to par.

 

Or a Smarty....makes them smoke pretty good.

 

agreed smarty is very nice. good smoke off idle but clears up after turbo kicks in usually after 5psi

 

On the quadzilla part I dont think its one of the you get what you pay for rules. I know alot of people than run quadzilla and really like it I know I do. If you want to wait on the adrenaline its going to be mean!

 

Just had to get the lift pump changed this morning aint a *****.

 

i had chip only and it smoked like a pig outa the hole with the van aaken

injectors just make it smoke more!
