Help first dodge diesel got a few problems

I just purchased a 95 dodge ram 2500 there are 2 wires hanging on the side of the trans cut. I'm getting a code for trans temp short or disconnected. someone replaced the stock trans cooler lines with half inch copper tubing. did my trans temp switch go on the trans cooler line? I bought a hanes manual and i can't find the color codes to the trans temp switch.

Next my injector pump leaks can i buy just a seal kit and replace the o rings that are leaking?

and last when driving ocasionally the truck will start to over heat and cool right down and sometimes while I'm driving and hitting the gas the temp rises then drops back down when i stop accelerating. water pump what you guys think?

thanks rick

It sounds like someone eliminated the trans temp sender when installing the copper. Connect a 1000 ohm resistor across the two wires and it will trick the tranny into performing as it should.
Beware though, you really should have a tranny temp gauge installed in one of the copper lines.

Need more info on the injector pump.

It is totally normal for a 12 valve's coolant temp to cycle up and down. Put a load on it and it will stay rock solid. The cycling is the result of a large cooling system.

On the part of the pump where you're noting the leaks the only o-rings are there just to keep dirt out of the threads, don't seal against fuel at all.
Could be they they just need a little tightening but you need a special socket like this http://www.pdrdiesel.com/products/De...et-304-35.html
