First cummins, got a few questions

I got a few questions for ya'll, Im purchasing a 93 D-350 dually, with a getrag 5-speed, n butt kickin 12 valve with 330K miles. Easy, VERY well cared for miles. The truck is in excellent shape other then the paint. What sort of things do I need to check for on it? And what free/cheap mods are available? I know about the pump, and exhaust housing on the turbo. And the KDP, but dont know much about that one. Also, does anyone know what the biggest DP available is for this truck? I would love to find a 5 incher (just to have one up on my buds with cummins') This isnt my first diesel, I already own a 7.3 IDI, but needed more power and reliability for towing, and a second vehicle. Im not going to go nuts on this, but I like a good "Hotrod Diesel" too!
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to DTR, CC! I'm only five miles north of Port Crane, off I-88. I'd be more than happy to help you wake the 'ol girl up, or just hang for coffe and talk shop Rip Rook has a 4'' DP for our trucks. www.sourceautomotive.biz You won't realize any benefit adding a 5'' DP...and there's hardly any room anyway. Ohh, how you're gonna love the Cummins

I love the sound of a cummins n the power, I love driving my buddys. hes got a 01 SLT laramie 6 speed 3500. I know youve seen it, ya drove by us on 12a over the summer loading up pallets one day, n taunted him with some smoke, and pipe!
Id love to join up fer a coffe er a beer er somethin. I love talkin truck, n work'n on em. My buds going to laugh when I tell em I know who drives that dodge, we talk bout it now and again. Matter of fact I went hunt'n fer ya one day after fuelin up at the fasttrack when ya got off the exit! hehehe

Free power: http://dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/more_power/Power_ve.htm

A 1st gen is kinda like a drug dealer - the first hit is free, then you have to start paying.

Greg has lots of experience messing with these pumps, he'll get you started out right.

Ha, that's great! I remember blowin a little smoke at that dually I was like, hey honey, I see a Cummins badge on that truck...we better salute! I have to pick and choose where I get on it, as I'm severely under-turboed right now and she won't hesitate to fog out a lane or six if I'm not careful. We'll have to get together here before too long and see what's up with that new 350 of yours I've been known to stop by the Fireside on occasion...I think you know where that it
