Now to put this thread back on topic, Horace, is there a way that you could hook up your EGT pyro in to where you but the boost port to test for temps?
I am really likeing this setup you and JR came up with. When you get 44psi of backpressure at 60psi of boost, there is something to be had there.

Been there done that with the air temp guage, before or after the little turbo the guage on mine was pegged at 400 degrees, while holding at 400 after the little turbo I was at 120 at the intake hat with no water, at max boost (65) I was at 200-210 at the hat, now do the math and you can figure that the air temps were. I now have the air temps down from 200-210 to 125-130 at the hat with the water depending on the outside air temp.

Jim,
those are awsome numbers, and I'm die to know what horace is getting with his hx40/HT4b setup from JR.

Re:Just a Tease...
The water setup is a combo of mine that I have run for 6 Months now and a nozzle setup from http://www.snowperformance.net/ up there in your neck of the woods, Matt was gracious enough to sell me the parts to intergrate his system with my setup, with his nozzles I'm doing better now than with my setup and using half the water. I will do back to back dyno runs with and without it in the near future as R&D for him as we discussed, to date I personally think his had the best deal going. Mark my word, next year there will be lots of these systems out there on trucks.....look were Twins went to in the last year!

Re:Just a Tease...
Andrew, Yes I have a place to hook up my EGT probe inbetween stages but I dont think using my probe would be accurate enough at that low of a temperature. I might try it today just to see.
Jim, You have a pretty nice setup for testing temps as I recall... I might need to get something like it for some R&D purposes.

Re:Just a Tease...
Jim, thats not to spendy for a water injection system. I know I don't need one now because I am not even close to having an EGT problem. Also I would bet my intake temps should be lower than yours since I have bigger chargers and a bigger intercooler. But I am interested in what kind of horsepower gain you get from the water and meth. It's getting time for you to upgrade to some bigger charges too. Been working on that yet?
Andrew, I couln't fit my EGT probe inbetween stages. I know that getting some numbers would be great but I just have no way of getting them.

I don't think you are trying hard enough.

At least you tried man. Just let us know if you DO do it someday soon.
So who is next to try this set of HUGE chargers? Merrick never said he was or wasn't...kinda makes you wonder.

I agree 100%
