Re:Just a Tease...

Horace glad to see you have taken care of the head gasket. More boost WILL make more POWER!!!

Mark thanks for jumping in here telling us about your set up and the nice lil comparison between the two. We could always put a smaller housing on the 40 to make it spool like yeaterday!! This setup is a long ways away from the 35/ht3b set up. There is the air for lots of power here.

BTW Mark nice job on the fire ring install.

J.R.

Re:Just a Tease...

Well I installed a new spring on the wastegate today and hit 70psi with about 28psi of that between stages. I have not touched it yet but I still have quite a ways to go if I wanted. Right now my WOT egts level out at 1300 degrees. I think I will settle at about 80psi and the EGT's will be slightly lower at that level. Right now everything is holding well... I think I need more fuel though .

Re:Just a Tease...

There is another truck over there now getting the Fire Rings,
B1Bquickspool/B2, ported head, and a few other sweet adds...

Anyone want a deal on a great, almost brand new Diesel Dynamics HX40-16 and 4" downpipe? PM me for it....

J

Re:Just a Tease...

There was a time back about 2 years ago I could go out on the street and feel real comfortable with my position if a drag race started with another diesel truck. With all you guys going to twins and stuff.....I aint as comfy

Slow Down!!!

Mark,, I think you'll have another truck getting some studs, and fire rings in, um,, not too long, but long enough.

Well, I'm getting plenty of practice.

I did my head with Nowell's tool then I bought one. It sat for eight months and now I'm doing 4 trucks in a week and I'll still have mine to do.

Later,
Mark

Re:Just a Tease...

We pulled yours last night... it came off head, exhaust manifold, turbo and all.

we'll be porting and o-ringing today then sending it to the machine shop for reassembly.

The triples truck got the o-rings last night and we'll be doing final assembly on the bottom end over the next few days.

Busy, busy, busy!!!!!

Uhhh, *O*-Rings on a triple charged truck? Won't that truck be hitting 100 pounds easily?

Why not fire rings? It's not even a choice on my tracer if I'm going to use O rings, or Fire Rings... If Fire Rings last for a full season on Schieds truck,, they're good enough for me.

Are you really using O rings? Are the doubled? Thick?
I guess I'm assUme'ing that you are using a single o-ring, only in the head, maybe that's why I'm suprised..

That is awsome, looks like you do need more fuel, I'm sure the same guy(J.R. Adkins) that sent you the turbo will make you up some more injectors, and then you'll REALLY be flying! I happen to know for a fact that he has several sets of Stage 4 Nuclear Nozzles at the moment!

Re:Just a Tease...

Merrick,
My 12v has a single o-ring in the head just outside the fire-ring of a stock gasket. It held before so I put it back that way.
