hmmm doesnt sound like something serious.

To tell you the truth, two simptoms of yours sound like tight springs,
and one sounds like loose springs.

when pressing the clutch and the rpms drop, and come back up, & truck dying, had that experience with our truck, BUT it has a 4k GSK in it, so i tightened the springs two clicks and twas good to go! no more probl.

but when taking off, and it has no power, and you have to give it fuel on start up, (both i hate) i found that loosening the springs 2 clicks and adj idle acordingly helps!

but also, ive found various friend's pumps with mayor gov problems, after dropping something in there! (broken pump side walls, broken pin's, no more rpm regulating, etc etc)

i really dont know, find out tuning with your springs, if it doesnt help, then try finding more expensive alternatives....

ive worked with so many gov springs, i need no vernier caliphers no more! it aint all that important! i can see how they must be, / work best!
but i cant see from 12 hrs away from ya, what your pump's probl is....

where does your truck cut out rpm's on empty rev up? (neutral)

Yeah see that's what so weird, it looks like the springs could go either way!

My truck DOESN'T cut out. . It goes up to 3500 before I let my foot off. I guess I got a free 4K GSK by the bolt dropping down there.

Haha, I would gladly take the way my truck ran previously, and have to buy a GSK than to have it running like it is.

UPDATE: Truck still runs the same way, been driving it like this the whole time. I'm at the point where I want to beat my face against my trailer hitch every time I have to drive this thing it runs so horribly. I think part of it is now the needle valve for the gauge is leaking, and the bar going through the valve to turn it fell out, so I put a cotter pin in there to try and turn and they bent. Beats me.

Either way, I'm going to buy a new pump now. Got the OK from the wife to just buy a new darn pump already.
