Injectors, what would you suggest???

I am looking at stepping up my injectors a little bit something around that 50-100 hp. I want to try to keep my EGTs fairly low being i tow regularly, and want to continue using my stock turbo, i can generate a little more boost w/ my boost elbow....

Keep in mind its a #53 block!!

The mach 1.6 has a good following. Something cheaper, you could look at some SDX injectors. Much cheaper, and still very good quality.

Forget about the 53 block, worrying about it isn't going to keep it from cracking.

If i go with the mach 1.6s, any idea what kind of hp/tq numbers i would be at with the combo listed in my signature, guessing i probably won't get the full 90 hp rating???

The mach 1.6 and 4's were usually underrated, so no reason you shouldn't see the full advertised gain, assuming you have the air for it. Do a before and after dyno and then you'll know for sure.

Not to hi-jack this thread but does anyone know the difference between mach 1.6's and sdx 100's? The Sdx's are around $300 less. The guy at sdx told me they go thru the same edm proscess.

10 more hp for $300 less

the Mach line has been around and is stuck on the idea that they charge what ever they want. Go with the sdx or a pair from JL machine...less money and everyone is loving them

It comes down to if you want more fuel or not. Usually sticks that make more power, have more volume. Same nozzle, ya everyone has a different way of finishing off the hole. I'm running dynomite 110's right now. Very good set-up, low smoke and decent fuel mileage. Yes the mach 1.6's make more power, but are also smokier/hotter than the dynomites. I never tried a SDX injector, I sure it would perform similarily. They make good stuff.

I think that 1.6 sticks on a stock truck would be hot, if you run smarty, and tow a heavy trailer, you're going to need to upgrade the turbo. Just saying.

First off I would get rid of the hypertech tuner. I run edge/smarty stack on mine. Works nicely. I would upgrade the intercooler boots and clamps. Boost leak check everything. Is your wastegate wired shut? Turbo still good? Ya you can run up to 90-110 sized sticks, watch the pyro. If you have lots of hills, go with RV275's. Stock clutch, next upgrade...

yea i figured on putting a clutch in eventually, whenever it decides to let loose, no i have a boost elbow on the the turbo but i backed the screw out a little bit thats y im only getting 25psi. i can get more if i want but don't think i need it yet until i upgrade injectors, i can get i up to about 35psi. if i want. yea i wish i would have put an edge juice module on debated between the 2 but went with cheaper hypertech, seems to put out good power...

Bought my 1.6 Machs from ^ guy IIRC and love them. IMO, you can't go wrong! I have almost the same set up and wonderful block as you do.
