Buddies rig is a 96 2500 club cab dually, 5 speed., 88k miles. Make a long story short, on the way back from hunting in Feb. , road glazed over and his gooseneck horse trailer broke loose and jacknifed ....end result is the driver side cab corner is pretty well smashed. Inurance co. totalled it ( 9k), and he bot it back for 1200. truck needs a. bodywork on the cab, an a few other spots, and he has b. had continous issues with slop in the driveshaft into the diff.

I say fix it, paint it and run it, he is thinking of buying as used [gasp]Ford.

If he is nutty enough to consider a Ford, at least make sure he drives one first.

fix and run...in this economy 9K in the bank would be a very nice cushion.

 

Perfect chance to take a good motor/trans out and find a nice 05 6.0 with a blown up engine (I hear there not too hard to find) Be a nice ride then. Id love to have a King Ranch or Harley Davidson with a 12V
