injector pump

has anyone taken there injector pump off and had it cranked up? my dad has a 98 12 valve and i have a 99 24 valve. my dad talked to a guy that runs a shop that rebuilds and cranks the pumps up he said he can crank them up 20% more than stock. is this true? anybody done this? is it worth the time? thanks!

stock a 180hp p7100 outs out about 150cc's of fuel(at home working from memory, we have modified some to produce over 1100cc's of fuel.Can you say SMOKE<br><br>Tim

I would not mess with it, too much electronic. The old ones yeah but not a 99. There are plenty of other options for more power.

DD's modified VP44 certainly has a wild idle to it. Sounds like the engine has a BIG cam.

get an edge or tst box for your 99 it will work wonders with your larger injectors
