Ok Monday I am going to order a SMARTY programer for my truck. But I have a question is there a way to tell if my truck has a programer like a hypertech or a superchips programer still stored in the ECM. The truck pulls hard from idle all the way to 3000 rpm and it will leave a nice little cloud behind it you take off and get on it on the highway and will also make 25 psi of boost and will not set an over boost code.. The reason that I want to know is because I don't want to ordered the smarty and not beable to use. So is there a way to tell if you have programmer in your truck without taking it to the dealer ship?

you will be able to read the software version when you have the smarty.

I have only had one customer with unknown software in a 98.5-02 truck.
