ck9797 - Do you have gauges and an upgraded fuel system? If not, your truck is on the way to being parked in your driveway.

Hint - Fill out your sig with more info, then you will receive accurate answers.

You won't be making the most power when your pumpin' smoke...All you'll be doing is creating excessive heat and throwing money down the toilet because after all...smoke is unburnt fuel. Do your research before you start slapping parts on. If your trans is a stock automatic...you will be laying it down on it's death bed in a hurry!

get a fass system! maybe your not smokin like you want cuz your runnin out of fuel. your stock turbo shouldnt clear up all the smoke the adrenaline will make. After a fass throw in some 3 or 4 flows from industrial injection. They have some sweet reasonably priced injectors.

The Steps to BOMB your truck!

1. Gauges first always! 98.5-02 must have a fuel pressure gauge.

2. Air Intake - AFE, not K&N

3. 4" exhaust - aluminized is fine, SS for show and dough!

4. Fuel System - Vulcan is a great system and will work fine for most. When you get up in the 400+HP range start thinking FASS or Airdog.

5. Tranny - Auto? Talk to a pro, Suncoast, Dunrite etc. Manual? Call Peter at South Bend Clutch.

6.Power BOMB's Away!

Msquare sums it up. If your truck is a auto look into beefing up the tranny asap.
