How do I tell?

My truck was basically stock until the other day when I put an EZ on it. Its an 01 5 speed. My truck has 160k miles on it and I was expecting it to slip the clutch pretty bad but it didnt. When I started looking I found out that I already had an adjustable boost elbow. I know that the previous owner used the truck for strictly towing purposes. How would I tell if I have an aftermarket clutch. Cause i think I do.

not to sure if you can tell. I do know that a edge ez isn't enought power to slip a stock clutch. I had a ez cold air intake and exhuast and I never sliped my worn out clutch. the clutch that was in there at the time was missing two bolts from the pressure plate lol. i bought the truck that way lol. I replaced that ctutch, with a stock replacment unit from the auto parts store. and still never sliped it with 90 hp injectors. It wasn't till i threw a superchips tunner in on top of the ez that the cltuch sliped and man did it slip lol.

My buddy has an 01 3500 and has been running an Edge EZ on the highest setting along with a boost elbow for the last 6 years or so. He tows regularly and still has the stock clutch.

Edge EZ won't slip a stock clutch unless you purposefully slip it on launches....

Great. I really dont ever shift the truck hard or launch or anything like that. I do tow some though. I was really only worried about it slippin under a load in 5th gear or something. I guess I dont have to worry about that. Thanks for the help

Most original EZ kits came with the boost elbow. The EZ and 275 injectors will just make the stock clutch start to shimmy. The EZ alone wouldn't hurt a thing.

I bought my EZ used. Prompts to edge, I called em up and said that I needed to order the boost elbow and the guy asked me for my address and sent it to me for free. Great customer support. Didnt matter though cause when I looked I already had an adjustable elbow from the previous owner. I may end up with a set of RV 275s in the future if I run across a steal for a set.
