High Idle Switch?
You would have to buy a kit, something like http://www.bd-power.com/ram/product....e%20Kit&tt=ram
PS Diesel Products makes a similar kit, but i cant find their website.

Off topic - does anyone know where I can get that wiring harness. I need the plug that goes into the APPS (mine got hacked up by some idiot named myself who thought he could rig up his own high idler).
I will give BD a call but... mine is within a few good road bumps of falling apart.
Apparently this is a non dealer item. I am not sure where one might find this elsewhere?
For those with 12 valves (or someone who doesn't want to spend the money for the electronic control for newer trucks), go to a boneyard and get a idle stepper motor from a Ford Motorcraft carburetor. Its just a metal cylinder with a couple wires coming out of it. Apply power to 1 wire and the piston moves out. Apply power to the other, and the piston moves in. Make up a simple bracket to hold it near the throttle linkage and push on one of the arms, and wire up a 2 position momentary switch in the cab. You can control how far the piston moves (how high you want the idle) by how long you hold the switch. Then drop it back down when you want.
I live in an area without boneyards, so I'm limited, but I have a similar motor from a Jeep Wagoneer, but it isn't adjustable...it just moves out a preset amount when power is applied, and back in when power is gone. I'm probably going to use this once I get time to make a bracket. I'd rather have the adjustable one, but I just don't have access to them here.
I learned about these from a Ford enthusiast friend who has a couple wreckers. He uses these solenoids to raise the idle when the PTO is on instead of the mechanical control.

Harold Bowers used to sell one. He is a member of the NWBombers. Try to reach him thru their website, I purchased one of his kits 3 years ago, still works like a charm. And it only cost me around $75.
