Where abouts in Canada are you? Anyone with a Smarty can activate it(whether you want it or not, right Doc?).

I got one of those high idle ***** from my parts supplier. Looking at my invoice, it's called a "Selflock Vernier". Anyway, I'd suggest going to a parts store in a small town rather than in the big city. They seem to be more creative in rounding up diverse or obscure parts for ranchers and such in rural areas.

Got the local Dodge dealer to install the high idle. Took about 5 minutes, plugged his hand held machine under the dash and voila, he also didn't want anything for it. I brought them a box of Tim Horton's donuts anyway. Works great, this moring it was -21 C, and after running for a few minutes, the rpm's picked up to 1200, sure warmed up nice than.

This is my "redneck" version, Cabelas shooting stick, works great and you can "adjust idle" up and down as you want.

....until my next visit to dealer

Ya mean like this? I found this locking **** at a yard sale. Used and old bicycle brake cable through a hole drilled in the top of the go pedal.

here is the thread. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...cold+high+idle

here is the diagram I used.https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...1&d=1169129433 A list of all the parts needed are listed in the thread on page 3 I think. It took me about 2 hours to install, I'm not the best wire guy.
