!!!HELP!!!South Bend on the cheap???
Hi everyone,
Well my predictions were right, my stock clutch didn't have a prayer. It is now starting to slip pretty bad. I was just wondering if anyone had a slightly used SB Clutch, preferably a Con FE(twins in sort of near future). But beggars can't be choosers, so any help at all . Also does anyone know about the TST clutch capable of holding up to 1000lb-ft?
Thanks,
Chris

Chris...One thing you don't want is someone's used clutch! To do it right, you need a freshly re-surfaced flywheel, new pressure plate, release bearing etc. This is something you don't want to do time and again! Bite the bullet and purchase a new South Bend Clutch. Would you put used oil in your truck? I don't think so.

Steve

Re:!!!HELP!!!South Bend on the cheap???
Hi,
I would love to buy a new one even if it was stretching the ol' budget. But bottom line I can only afford about $450-$500 max. I don't want to make the same mistake I made before and buy a $400 stocker or a lower level SB, only to have it shredded by the Power I will be adding. We use used clutches in VW rebuilds alot. Granted its VW, but I figured a good used clutch would work work with a flywheel resurfacing. Thats why I asked.

Thanks
