i have this also I have been told a couple of things one was that the truck is defueling. in the lower gears, as a form of protection and I have also have heard it s torque management to keep the tranny in one piece, built into the trucks computer, this is what I have been told, my adrenaline started doing this with the BETA tune as that is the only tune that I feel any power on.

Mine has done that since i bought it when it came out. Frustrating to say the least. Have tried all kinds of tunes 1000, 2000, beta... It would be a perfect box if it didnt do this and mine is a 6spd, so it dont think that torque converter issues have much to do with it. I need help too. Let me know if you have find a cure. Also if you own a computer that is 64 bit the drivers will NOT install and you cant run tunes on that computer, just found that out also. HMMMMMM!

You need to do the firmware update. Fixed everyones problems a LONG time ago.

And yes, when microsoft released Vista64 it screwed all kinds of things up for a lot of people, not just us. So if it makes you mad we recommend you screaming at Microsoft like we have been. Can you can force them to give you the 32bit version so everything you own will go back to working right as well you just have to raise some cain.

I can understand the microsoft thing affecting the loading software. Typical Microsoft. My question is why the need for the frim ware update? I am really considering your product for my pulling truck over the redline against several people advise due to your product price point and guauge features with the pulse controler. Would anything brought new from approved dealers have latest updates on everything? Also Back to the windows issue My only computer came with it and microsoft wants $35 to enable the 32 bit compatiablity, do you dealers have the ability to do the updates if a box is determined to need it?

How do we do the firmware update?

Also, I can relate to yelling at MS. They quite frequently make some questionable business decisions.

I know I'm bringing up an old subject, but have you had any additional thoughts about developing an updater for the Mac?

On new stuff you will not need to. The poster I was informing mentioned he had one of the very first ones of these boxes we produced a couple of years ago.

Anyone can update them as long as they have XP or Vista that is not the 64bit version. The updates are free and can be done from anywhere you like and done as many times as you like.

I am not really sure one is better than another. I have seen cheap remans last forever and high dollar specialty pumps go out almost immediately and vice versa!

The firmware update is something it has to be sent in for. You only need the update if it has not been done by us and it is serial #47971 or below. After that serial# the updates have all been performed for surging.
