I guess after adding the #10 plate, I *should* add the 3k GSK mod... I feel like it just runs out of ooomph like when coming up to speed getting on the interstate, etc.

It will until you get the 3K GSK. Get that and she won't run outta "ooomph" until you start hitting red line and HAVE to back out of it!
