Getting ready to get ready for the BOMB
I have an 01 HO 6 speed that I have had since 02. I have been considering trading but love the truck and figure spending a little to juice up the truck would be alot cheaper than a new one. I use the truck for towing 90 percent of the time so all mods have to keep egts in check. My plan is clutch, turbo, and injectors. I have 4 in exhaust turbo back. As for the clutch I was looking between South bend and valair (suggestions). What turbo and what size injectors, the truck needs good fuel economy and has to be reliable. Once I get my goodie list complete then I can get my funds. Thanks

Valair OFe (good towing manners), BD S300 twins, Mach 4 injectors, and new quad adrenaline box (has EGT limiting so you're never in the danger zone). Oh yeah and a bunch of money Big reliable hp.

i think a dodgezilla 35/40 hybrid turbo or a HTBG ( i think thats the name of HTT's 57mm hybrid) would be a great upgrade that spools well and keeps things cool. about $1000
add a set of 90-100 injectors from DDP or F1...about $6-700
smarty programmer- $650
south bend clutch, i highly recommend them. their service is excellent and their clutches are top notch.
this combo will give you close to 400hp when you turn the smarty up, still be very street friendly, and it will tow great and stay cool.

If you like saving money, get a Valair clutch. If you are more of a "big name brand" kind of a guy, South Bend has a bigger name. There are hundreds of different injectors out there, all will boost power, just some do it cleaner/ less smoke and heat than others. Some seem to idle a little better too. As far as a towing turbo, I've heard the HTBG and or BD Super B are great towing turbos. They spool identical to stock HX 35 but with a 57 mm extended tip compressor wheel, they have more lungs and actually move as much air as 60mm wheel. This compared to your stock 54mm wheel is an improvement. If you want to step up to some bigger 125-150 HP injectors, you will want a 62/12 style turbo. More lag, but much better top end cooling if you want to blast up the grades.
What are you running as far as air intake, filter etc? Be careful though, if you tow long distances, some of the cone style non enclosed box style intake setups are loud and obnoxious. Just playing around driving less than 100miles they are fine, but long hours on the road, is very annoying.
If it was my dedicated hauler:
Valair OFE = 5-600 bucks
RV 275/300 injectors = 300 bucks
BD super b turbo = 999 bucks
downpipe and clamp = 190 bucks
S&B enclosed box intake = 250 bucks

Mach 4's, unless towing very heavy, a Smarty, and PS62/12. Under $3,500 and 400-425 hp. Pure fun and no problems with dependability! AND a whole new truck feel!
You seem to stress dependability, so I'm listing top quality, long term/trouble free components. You're choice, of course.
Southbend Clutch, when needed, for same reason.
If towing over 15,000 lbs +/_, go with Mach 1.6's

Now everyone are we going to just forget about getting fuel to the VP-44 since it is going to demand so much more? You are going to need to add atleast a pusher pump if your stock lift pump is healthy. But IMO for the ease of installation and good quality I would get a FASS 95GPH from www.puredieselpower.com , it will just bypass the stock lift pump and go to the OEM fuel filter.
I would do in this order...
FASS 95GPH
ValAir OFE (or ceramic) and get the new solid hub disk with a 3800lb plate load.
Industrial Injection SPS 62/71/12 or HTT 62/71/13SS
100hp injectors (F1, New Era, or Industrial)
Quad's new adrenaline box
Oh yeah, you have gauges right? lol

I'd second this. I'd also recommend a Garrett turbo (stg 2 or 3).
I'd further suggest some kind of fuel deliver enhancement: Walbro, FASS, Mitusa, etc.
I'd personally do a Walbro setup with a nice bypass regulator and the 2 micron Glacier filter kit.
