GB Trans is in!

Ain't she PURTY!

Had my GB Trans put in on Monday.
3 Billet Shafts, Triple disc converter with 15 blade stator, 48RE drum, and billet flex plate.

This trans ROCKS!

Dave was GREAT to work with and will take time out of his day to explain things to you, even though he is EXTREMELY busy The guy spends more time on the phone than I do!

I'd reccomend Dave to anyone. I should also mention that he now does TC's for the 1000 series Allison transmission found in the Chevys.

Now I'm ready to make some POWER!

Hmm, that tranny looks very familiar for some reason. Oh thats right I've got one of those. Dave shure is a good guy. So how many more HP's do you recon you picked up just from your tranny not slipping? What stall speed did you get to make it work with that sled puller turbo.

Dave is the man!

I feel guilty every time I call and take up his time soaking up info, but I'll repay him soon as I'm going to be buying a full billet tranny from him in the very near future

How important is the addition of an aftermarket flex plate? I was looking at a setup with the billet input only, dont intend to go over 550hp
Im also real curious to see what your power and fuel economy do with that bolted up.

Flex palte is pretty imporatant. We broke one towing one time with just a #10 plate. As for power, when we went with the Goerend we gained a lot. It feels like your driving a totaly different truck.

I got over 17.3MPG on the way home.. going either 60MPH or 70MPH.
Highest I've EVER gotten with the truck.. I was really surprised.

Sweet! Some day..... Glad you are liking it. Did you get the lower stall converter, or the higher stall?(I cant remember which you said had the 15 blade stator). Either way; Im sure you will be very happy with it. Does it seem that much better than your other tranny was when it was still working good? Hopefully I will get a VB for mine soon. Then I can do a little more to mine

Yep, she runs AWESOME. Totally better than the old setup.. It may be that old setup was gradually getting worse on putting power to the ground, so it seems that much better.

I got the middle level converter, not loose, but not extremely tight.

Bobcat, is this with 4.10 ratio? I get 10mpg on my truck.. not so good. I have a feeling the cruddy OEM convertor is partially at fault.
