fuel plate

I am not really sure how the fuel plate mods work. I was hoping I could get some help understanding it! I have RV275's to put in along with the rest of my mod's and was wondering if the fuel plate is something I need to/should do? I am just trying too learn so any help would be great! Thanks

Dont worry about the fuel plate. Your truck has a vp44 and it is controlled by your edge chip.
The fuel plate is a way that the injection pump on a 12valve, how much fuel to send out the lines. It rides on the cam plate and it can be ground down to different sizes to allow different amounts of fuel into the engine.

Thanks! Makes sense. I also have a question on the boost I get out of the stock turbo. I can usually get about 21 psi out of it and that seems pretty low to me. Is there a way to get more out of the stock turbo or should with the mods I have start considering a new one?

I am probably not the guy to talk about turbos on this website as there are many folks who have a lot more experience than I do. But I have heard of folks plugging the waste gate on the turbo to gain more top end boost. Remember why the waste gate was put onto the turbo though. It is there to protect it. So if you want more boost; the most effective and also the most expensive way is to get a larger turbo. There is a lot of turbo talk, so do a couple of searches and you will find people that have slightly larger compressors, slightly larger exhaust turbines and also some larger upgrades where studs and o-ringing becomes necessity. Good luck and looking around will help you out a lot.

j-hook or turnbuckle? I looked at the boost elbow, do i need to get that boost fooler if i have the edge? I know that alows me to set boost up to 45psi i believe. Just did a little researching and found a bullydog j-hook. Seems like a decent mod.

No you dont need a boost fooler. The edge has one built in. Yes a j-hook is a good mod for a stock HY-35 turbo like ours. I wouldnt recommend going over 30 lbs just to be on the safe side though. Last thing anyone wants is a blowin turbo. And there is a big dif between 21 and 30 lbs. Get one and you'll be happy.... for now
