Fass system installed

Installed a new Fass extreme this past weekend. Was gonna get a pe4200 but the updated ones were not available at that time, so just bit the bullet and ordered the Fass. My old setup I used Wildcats high flow system with a new stock lift pump. It would hold 15psi at idle 13 on the road at 70mph but would go down to <2 at full power. The Fass has 18 at idle, 18 at 70 mph and 15 at full power. Will not drop below 15 ever. Install took about 3 hours. Pump is very quiet and well built and primes very quickly. Will dyno soon but I also changed the primary turbo housing to 26cm at the same time,so it might not show true results. Anyone have any questions let me know. Tim

Have any pictures of the install? Mine's boxed up in the back of a Big Brown Truck™ somewhere between me and west of the Mississippi, but I'm trying to figure out where to mount it. What line and fitting did you use for the return to the tank? Pics of that?

I don't ask for much, huh?

Brandon, dont have any pictures. The pump mounts to the rear cab support on short beds or frond bed mount on long beds. Return tee's into the 3/4" tank vent. You do have to drill two 3/8" holes. Have someone there to help support it while you centerpunch the holes, it is heavy. Tim

Thanks Tim! If I were to take a picture under the truck of the cab, could you edit the picture to show me where you mounted it? Or will the FASS have the recommended mounting instructions?

Wouldnt it be nice if the FASS system cured the fuel system problems on these trucks???

Brandon the Fass instructions tell you where to install it but dont show you unless you have a long bed. Pictures are for a long bed. Actually mounting the pump is the hardest part the rest is cake. I pulled all the factory parts off the side of the block. Sure did clean it up. You can look in and see the ecm and starter easily now. Dr Evil I am hoping. Tim

So far, the numbers sound VERY good. Please let us know how it works once you get some miles on it....I (and most of us on here) would gladly buy a FASS system if I knew it would fix the fuel problems with these trucks.

Did you remove the factory lift pump and fuel filter??

I did remove the filter housing and lift pump. I left the original fuel line on and capped it off. It makes the drivers side of the block a lot less clutered. Tim
