Talking FASS system installed today

I had the FASS system installed today on my 2004 truck.I had the 150gph with the larger pickup tube installed in the tank, hardley any noticable noise.I went with the autometer pro-comp series 15 PSI fuel gauge.Big difference in throttle response and the gauge reading would only go to 12-13 psi with WOT.I think my Quad race box will like the change coobie

Great upgrade Coobie, this is my next mod but was wondering if this is something that I could install myself or is it worth it to have a shop install it.

It is very simple to do. That is if you have some wrenching time under your belt. I have personaly done about 20 or so. I think the FASS (All though a little high in price) is one of the best mods that can be done to a '98.5 Cummins. The directions are printed with color pics and has good decriptions. AND if you choose to do so...PM me...i think i can talk ya through it! haha......go for it.....you will love it....my truck noticable idled quieter....not that i really liked that...but it let me know that the FASS was working.....and it accelerated a bit better as well....

I had a diesel shop install mine.I work 80-90 hours weekly.I don,t have the time.I talked to and watched the tech do the install.I think it would be something I would like to tackle if I had the time.coobie

I did a little research before I had my fass installed. From what I have reseached if you increase the size of the pickup tube in the fuel tank(which I had done) the Fass has little noise.I can hardley hear mine run.coobie

After the Scotty intake and straight pipe, a FASS system is probably my next mod. Well that along with the fuel pressure module for my X-monitor!

I have the BD X-monitor installed on my truck also.I have the tranny, pyro and boost on my x-monitor.If you choose to go with the fuel pressure gauge for your X-monitor will have to to get rid of the tranny temp gauge.I chose not too and went with the auto meter pro-comp lite series fuel pressure gauge.Nice gauge, but kind of pricey.coobie
