Last time....note there are no boots on the hole system, not one, it's all done in flanges with O-ring inserts.<br><br>Jim

It's in a 99' Mustang 25.1c chassis with the floor pans, he has done several of these without a problem as of yet...course they just drive 1/4 mile at a time. The old way was blue high pressure hose like I use with the pipe ends bead rolled then tabbed on both sides with a threaded pipe(small...like 1/4 thick) and hyme joints on both ends, this was costs about the same when it's all done.<br><br>Jim

 

i used to work as a millwright, i have installed miles of stainless steel tube used for blower and vacume delivery systems. you can purchase the ends with the cast clamp that holds the two flanges together from specialty stainless steel suppliers. they use the o ring between the flanges. i have some of them around, i just cant remember where. but they would work great for high pressure turbo applications. i just cant belive i didn't think of it. i am sure you can buy them in aluminum also. but the vibration would worry me on a street truck. mike

 

Mike the ones in the pics are aluminum, they are just like the ones on our 35's going to the intercooler piping.<br><br>Jim

Heck yeah .... There's a Pro 5.0 guy behind me that is in car cooled with an Icewater~To~Air sealed intercooler plumbed inside the car. Well @ 1700+ H.P and 6. something et's I would want to grab some ice after the end of the ¼ mile too

Jim, His car is Nhra compliant pro 5.0 The car I mentioned is NOT his (Now I read my butchered post theres a sentence missing That explains this) but we had the discussion on this &quot;New&quot; Technology a while back at a party and It looks insane (Granted the car is gutted for Comp only) but it has 4&quot; ducting going from the twin Turbo setup straight into the cowl area then proceeds into the car where there is a flat looking aluminium &quot;Tank&quot; that resides from the rearward wheel tubs to the cruck in the floor pan at the firewall. Inside is a heat exchaner style intercooler that is encapsulated inside the flat &quot;cold Box&quot;. The car from what I hear is just plain ol' insane. On the dyno with I think would be 34&quot; drag slicks could not hold the dyno It would just anihlate the rubber on the rollers making tuning difficult. <br><br>Sabo of Mayhem Racing
