edge drag comp

Today I tapped the wire for my drag comp since I now have 101000 mi. At 96000 I had a new lift pump and injection pump installed. I went for a little ride never exceeding level 3 on the comp. Decided to see if it thru any codes and came up with P 1693 p 238 and p1475. Don't know what these are can anyone help. If it is my lift or injection pump I don't want to here from you!!! Just kidding. But I really hope that is not the case. Thanks for any help or replies.

None of those are the VP44 death code. Unplug your batteries for about an hour, plug them back in, go for a drive, and check to see if they are back. Those might be some old codes.

P238 - high boost limit exceeded
P1475 - Auxilary 5 volt supply voltage high
P1693 - Code stored in companion module PCM

Could someone explain the high voltage one to me. Know the high boost limit (Turnbuckle on turbo wastegate) Maybe not a good idea? What would be a good turbo to run with the drag comp. This little hy 35 isn't going to cut it. LOL

You should not have any codes if you installed the comp correctly.
Did you throw a check engine light?

Turnbuckle is OK...just be aware you are getting more heat than help above 34-35 psi boost. With the Drag Comp and injectors you will have to watch EGT,s with any single turbo....and with the automatic, you will want/need quick spooling.
Your choices are limited to three, in my opinion...HTB2...PDR40...or a KSB-1. 1st and 3rd both seem to spool up equally well...and the B-1 moves the most usable air (10-15% more), but is more expensive.

The Htb2 should move alot of air also.
The PDR40 is a good turbo and can make 500hp.

Try having them cleared by autozone and see what happens.

Will do, I was going to call my buddy that is a big rig mechanic and stop by to borrow his diagnostic machine for a few minutes, you can reset them with that also....
