I've got a Comp off an 01 that I want to put on an 02. I've heard Edge won't sell the harness anymore. Anyone know where I can get it??

Really? My roommate just got a brand new harness for his comp. His old one was bad. Have you called Edge yet to verify? I don't see why they wouldn't sell you the harness or send you to someone who could sell you the harness.

 

BigBlue...do they sell longer harnesses or extensions? i wanna mount mine in the cubby hole in the center of the dash but the harness wont reach unless i drill a big hole somewhere in the center of the firewall and fight to get it in there.

 

I don't know about that. You might try lengthening the wires some by cutting and soldering in longer ones.

 

I know they make an extension wire for the Attitude monitor but I'm pretty sure they don't make a longer one for the COMP! You can try as Blue suggested and make them longer, the only thing I'm not to sure about is if they are in a shielded wrap........that might be the only setback although it shouldn't hurt anything ( I think? )

 

He didn't get a new one.. that was a new one I had.. some how I ended up with an extra harness.. I need to get one back from him.. I just gave it to him incase he his problem was in the harness, and not in the box.. (I believe it ended up being the box... I need a harness back to send in with the box.)

You should be able to buy the adapters to make change it over... Also try Diesel Dynamics... If you can't find anything.. drop me a PM...

Actually, it turned out to be the old harness. We swapped harnesses and he's been all smiles since then.

 

OK.. I haven't even had time to try the box he gave back to me... I'll just have to save the harness for a warrenty box... I'll get it from him sometime..

Cool, I'll try Edge today. If that doesn't work, JDGnut will be hearing from me! Luckily, the guy whose truck it's going on doesn't know it yet, so times not an issue!

600... I might be out of luck on the spare harness for the 02... Looks like BigBlue and Dodge4x4 used my spare harness... but send me a PM anyways... I might know of another source...

been there done that, Edge doesn't sell longer harnesses and doesn't recommend cutting and soldering the wires. I actually ran the harness and it reaches more than a foot more than I needed it. So try running it first it should reach. Check my photos it shows where my comp is in my console.
