Destroyed my BHAF
I pulled a Homer Simpson, DOOOOH!! I was washing my 97 dually at work with the HOTSY and covered my BHAF with a plastic garbage bag to keep it dry, until done washing. Well I for got about it and started the truck for about 3-4 seconds.....THEN I remembered the bag. The filter was complete smashed and sucked down to about half its size. I just installed it last week. Do I get the bonehead of week award? Did I hurt anything on my truck?
THis shows me how much air these trucks can really suck.
Just ordered a new one from fleetfilter and cover should be in soon. I
wont do this again.

You're not the first person to do that, others have come before you.
As long as you didn't leave it running long, or suck anything into the turbo or engine, you should be fine.
(no, I haven't been lucky enough to do that yet)

Wow, that sucks. It should be ok in phox mulder stated. You can buy covers for them then you won't have to worry about it getting wet.
