Cooper Discover STT?

I have a line on a set of used Cooper Discover STT tires (35x12.50x17) mounted on stock 17" rims with only about 6,000 miles on them. I have a 2001 Ram with 2" blocks in front. Will there be any clearance issues? Does anyone have any pictures of a similar truck with these tires or tires of a similar size?

Thanks

I had a set of 35's on stock wheels with just 2" coil spacers in the front. The only time they ever rubbed was at full lock, and the tires would rub the lower control arms. Because of the backspacing of the factory wheels. Run em. I've heard alot of good things about the STT's.
Later,
Tommy

Should I be concerned at all that I have 3.73 gears with the larger tires? Right now I am running 285/65/16 BFG's and was thinking of going a little larger since I have the leveling blocks in.

Any idea what a fair price for 4 of these tires used (6,000 miles) mounted and balanced would be?

Does anyone have any input on running 35's with 3.73 gears?

I run 35x12.5x18 with the 2" level kit and 3.55 gears. Rollincoal is right the tire only rub at lock other than that you will be fine with 3.73

Where did you find 3.73's at? I looked all over the place before I swapped in my 4.10's. I was told no one makes 3.73's for dana 70's or 80's. My truck was perfectly fine with the factory 3.54's and 35's.

Maybe they are 3.54 gears then? It has been a few years since I bought the truck used and I know they aren't 4.10's. I thought for some reason they were 3.73's? Were 3.73 gears an option on an '01 CTD?

Anyway....pull a 20' open trailer with a 3600lb car a few times a year and was a little concerned that the 35's with the stock gears (3.54's or 3.73's ???) would be a problem?

Sure enough....I just ran out and checked the truck. It does have 3.55 gears in it. Sorry for the mix-up.

I have 315-75-16 (35") Cooper Discoverer STTs with a 2" leveling kit. I cut the inner fenders out quite a bit and they only rub when you're on a full turn and go over something like a curb

I ran 315 STTs on my 02 with no lift or leveling kit. Did not rub anywhere but on the control arms at full lock... chews up the largest lugs pretty well, so when it came time to rotate I had to do an un-orthidox tire rotation to keep the ugly chewed up lugs out of sight.

Freaking awesome tire though for any condition any terrain.

I've got 60,000 on my Cooper tires on the back of my dually. My matching front pair have about 15k. They are awesome tires.

And yes pulling won't be exactly fun with 315s and 3.55s... I pulled around 6k lbs several times with 315s and 3.55s.

I was told 3.73 isn't or wasn't made for dodge axles.

I am not positive on this, but the 17 inch stock rims on the 3rd gen might have a different bolt pattern than your second gen. Check it out before buying!
