Con O. vs Con OFE

I am starting to think about a clutch for my truck, the tranny will be out soon so it will be a good chance to put a new one in. From everything I have heard South Bend is the way to go. I am wanting the truck to have between 400-500 hp when im done with it(thats what im thinking now anyway). It is my DD and I tow a 7-8K lb trailer from time to time. I am pretty sure the Con OFE would be best for my needs, but I want to hear other opinions.

I'm goin with the Con FE as soon as I decide on what sticks & turbo(s) I'm gonna end up with, pretty sure the Centerforce will let go with much more fuel, I've driven both the OFE & FE & they're both great clutches, I like the stiffer feel of the FE over the OFE, only problem with the FE is if you're loaded heavy you may have to slip it out a bit to keep the jumping to a minimum, Dusty

I agree, you need an OFE, or maybe even a FE, you would kill an O with the power you are wanting.

Call peter at Southbend, He will help you with the decision making, very nice and extremely helpfull.

But that said you are prolly gonna need an OFE or FE.

Deffinately call peter.

I would say the OFE would be the absolute min. I have an OFE in my tow rig that dyno'ed 363hp/860tq and I love it, have to be careful when backing up, it will get grabby if you not careful with it, I would suggest low range if you have such an option when backing up loaded trailers.
