I PURCHASED A ’02 2500 QUAD CAB LONG BED.<br>I’VE BEEN READING ALL THE ARTICLES FOR THE PAST <br>MONTH AND I NOTICED A LOT OF YOU MENTIONED THE <br>EDGE EZ MODULE. I GUESS THE QUESTION I HAVE IS..<br>WHICH BOX? THERE’S EDGE EZ, D BOX, BLUE CHIP,<br>BD PLUG-IN-PLAY, TST POWER, VAN AAKEN AND DIESEL<br>DYNAMICS, AND PROBABLY EVEN MORE. WHICH ONE IS <br>THE BEST, AND WHICH ONE IS THE BEST FOR THE BUCK.<br>I PURCHASED THE DIESEL FOR TWO REASONS, ON MILEAGE<br>AND TWO PULLING POWER. I DON’T PULL OFTEN, BUT <br>WHEN I DO IT’S NICE TO HAVE THE POWER.<br> ???

 

MRWTO, <br> Welcome to the site! I can't help you on your question, but I know others will chime in with their opinions before long. I just wanted to take a moment and welcome you aboard!

 

It all depends on what you want to do with your truck.

 

Thanks for the welcome.... to be honest, mostly<br>mileage. I only have about 6.5k miles and through the web site i know i can't expect much untill the 10-20k mark.

 

In my opinion none of the boxes can gaurante a mpg increase. If thats what your after I would try the EZ box.

 

There all good as far as I know I think the Edge Boxes are the prefered ones. Your milage may or may not improve, I think I got a little better towing after adding the EZ.

 

I just added the Edge EZ to my '02 HO. The difference is incredible. HP is up but the torque is WAY up. The drivability is still good. A little smoke on low RPM throttle bursts but, hey, a Diesel smokes sometimes, right? Install was a piece of cake. Took me all of 3 minutes. The nice thing is that I can take it back off in three minutes for dealer visits. I haven't had it on there long enough to tell about the mileage but, I'm sure it's not going to be as high as before. The reason is that I can't keep my right foot from pressing down so hard. My girlfriend said, &quot;Wow, what did you do to this thing? It really sets me back in the seat now.&quot; ;D

 

I don't have a HO, i've got the old man's version, <br>the one with the auto trans... <br><br>

 

If you tow with that auto you have to be carefull how you drive it with the EZ.

 

BTW welcome to the site! I have heard that the EZ box will give a little more improvement to the non HO engines. I'm not sure about this &quot;old man&quot; stuff. I thought I was the oldest dude on here!
