boost #'s and egt#'s with comp ???

prior to installing my comp my egts would get to 1100* and boost would hit 21lbs with the waste gate turn buckled after the install I have the same #'s I did pick up some power and some smoke but in my opinion nothing to wright home about I don't think i have any boost leaks boots are all tight with no tears or cuts the only things I can figure is a dieing LP with 65,000 miles on it witch is being replaced with a 95 gph fass this week. Any feed back is good feed back

Thanks in advance

Did you tap the wire and install the boost elbow? Without the wire your numbers where about all I could get.

I have a manual and haven't pushed it but I can hit 35+ boost and can get to 1300 pretty quick. This is with a "brand new" VP and in tank pump.

Try 5x5 and see if you notice it.
I know I do, You will likely see much more than 1100 on the pyro too

I'm guessing that your comp box isn't hooked up to the pump. I had to play with it for a bit. If your only pulling 21 lbs, I'm also guessing that you have to work on your wastegate some more. You should be in the mid 30's for boost.

Ratsun, I see that you have a set of PDR twins. I have a couple of questions for you. Where is your pyro located at and what kinda of egt's are you seeing at idle, hiway speed and wot? What kinda of boost can you pull with yours? Thanks bud

If you hooked up "The Wire", something is amiss.

My '99 with the Comp "wired" will now hit 1300* with ease, and 30+ pounds of boost
(running empty not towing).
Before the wire, 1200* and 27-28# of boost were pretty much the max.

And the difference in driving between unwired and wired is vs

Hey Mike
My pyro is tapped into the back half of the ATS manifold like on the stocker.
Right now with the baby injectors I see about 600-700 on the freeway (comp on 1x1) 300 idle, If I pin it on 5x5 it can jump up too 1300 but it will come down to 1200 or so quickly. I towed up a hill we have in our interior (Coquahala Sp?)this summer and it was unreal. I had a 3-3500lb slide in camper and about 4500lb tag, the hill is like 12miles long and 8-10grade. I set the cruise on 115k comp on 3x3 and it didnt even care about the hill the peddle and the rpm just sat there with the pyro around 1150 so I just gave it 1/2-3/4 throtle and the truck quickly sped up to 150k and temps went up to 1250. I wanted to try a 5x5 run and see if I could get it real hot but I noticed my TT went up about 10 degrees on that pull and knew my converter was slipping a bit so I didnt want to kill it. I used my stock 35 with the 12 housing so theres lots of room for more air if needed. Oh and with the blow offs backed out to 70psi the best I can hit for boost with the fuel I have is 55psi. I know for most guys the twins are a unnessasary option but I knew I wasnt stopping at 350-400hp and didnt want a lag pig to drive so I figured I would bite the bullet early and get it overwith. How do you like your Mach 6s My next upgrade is going to be larger injectors but wasnt sure about the 6s I was leaning more to the 4s? since I know the next trip will be the full billet trans

somethings not right somewhere.... even when I only had the EZ, I was able to hit 31 psi of boost. With a properly connected Comp and turnbuckle adjustment you should be into the 30's for boost numbers.
