Difference between BD Comp and Edge Comp

Is there a difference between the two other than the BD logo on the power button? I had an Edge comp once upon a time ago but had to sell it and recently I acquired a BD Comp. The BD comp I know is a rebadged Edge comp (it even has an edge sticker on it) but does BD do anything special to it? My old comp the power was very on-off on the lower levels. It was slow to react and then BAM it hit ya. The BD on the lower levels is very smooth. It's really hard to tell the difference when it's off an on it's so smooth. I know it's working cause I can see the smoke it leaves behind. My buddy's comp is very on-off as well with the power. I was just curious if any of yall out there had noticed.
