I noticed that TST sells a non Wastegated turbo housing... That leads to my question as to how much a stock turbo and a stock 12V head can handle with out upgrading to struds and o-rings? Dose anyone run the stock turbo with out the wastegate? and whats the life on that...

Turbo, about 35 is max efficently, 40 is more or less safe.

HG, bursts of 50, sustained about 45.

 

I have had mine blocked for some time, Will get up to about 38 or so but only while towing. Only problem I have had is bad turbo boots. Mine are getting old and are beat up and I blew one off twice this trip down from Coos Bay OR. Bolted them back up and got home but a replace with Geno's is coming shortly.
