boost pressure

Just disconnect the hose going to the turbo's waste gate and plug it to disable the waste gate. Your turbo on truck is good to 35psi (someone correct if I'm wrong) and with what you have in your signature you won't have a problem with over spooling.

I use a manual boost controller valve I bought online from www.boostcontroller.com. It was cheap and works as advertised.
You just plumb it into the wastegate tubing on your stock turbo. With such a boost controller, you can add to the opening setting of the wastegate, but you can't lower the pressure.
So if your WG actuator rod is set for 20psi, then a valve will let you increase it, but you can't go below 20psi.
Personally, I'd just block the WG on your truck using an 1/8NPT pipe plug. you don't need a controller because you shouldn't be able to exceed 30psi.
