I'd get a 3 pillar and a single on the steering wheel (thats the route I went) I'd get a fuel pressure, boost, trans temp and pryo (exhaust gas temp). Especially if you're going to build a lot of power!

If you're going to go with a monitor (edge, quad etc.) some of these come with all of this.

Was wondering, a lot of these programers, like the Adrenaline/Pulse combo im looking at will monitor all these and then some, are they accurate enough alone to not need pillar gauges reading the same stuff? If I do end up with pillar gauges are electrical sending units wired to gauges ok or do i need to take mechanical readings? Thanks

The Adrenaline/Pulse, Edge Juice all come with the gauges you need.

I'll say it this way because I have mechanical on the pillar, "some idea of what is going onunder the hood is better than no idea!"

I'm guessing they are fairly accurate!

My Pulse reads exactly like my mechanical gages did. I only have the Pulse now mounted on the pillar.

I remember a friend of mine that builds Cummins powered pulling trucks looked at my truck at a local pull last year and I told him it was a 99' 24V and he goes "huh....suprised the block hasnt cracked yet..." . I have heard there was some bad blocks floating around out there, should I be concerned adding a bunch of horsepower could cause it to crack or am I reading into it too much? Thanks

That the refrence to the 53 block.... Do a search and be ready to read....there's a ton on here. It can be fixed and some of them haven't cracked and have over 250k miles.

WHich reminds me....I need to check if min is a 53 or not!
