Where the heck did 10mm fine pitch come from? (think that might've been my bad! ) I don't know for sure which it is, but I'd expect it to be 10 x 1.5 as posted above... no wonder they were so dang high! $$$

Actually I took measurements with a "thread pitch measurer" and I got m10 x 1.25 also before you even mentioned it. I may be remembering wrong, I didnt write it down? Anyone want to check?

Hohn hit the spacer purpose on the head. It's there for a reason.

As for stainless socket head cap screws, If you use the heat treated stainless fasteners and some never sieze you will probably be ok. Don't use the cheap hardware store stainless steel fasteners . These are typically soft and even with never sieze will gall up and you will really have a problem.

I'd call ATS and get the recommended bolts.

My humble opinion is that socket head cap screws belong on machines not trucks. It is too easy to get the socket head messed up.

I'd double check that. I just yanked the head off my spare engine the other night, the exhaust manifold bolts are coarse thread, should be M10x1.50. Theres not much, if any, fine thread on the engine.

Hey just reuse the stock bolts with retainer clip. The bolt will stay in and not work itself lose. I used grade 5 bolts I can't remember what metric thread. High temp locite and let the truck sit for some time before start. The thread loc has to set of some time. Use the stock bolts/spacers and retainer clip on the inside and outside of the manifold flanges. Throw away the cap bolts that comes in the kit.
