A long time coming....
I finally have a couple of the major upgrades I've been working toward!!!!
1st - new injection pump (no choice as it went out)
2nd - new Fass 150 with bypass filter
3rd - Fuel Pressure gauge - autometer z series on the steering collum.
4th- New Trans by Sean at TLSETurbo. It's got the sonnax shift kit some billet parts, a BD deep trans pan, and other goodies i can't remember right now. It has a DTT converter that is neither the 89% or 92%, but would be better suited for towing. He said I could come back if I didn't like the torque converter and put in either an 89 or a 92.
Of course, it's never done, but this is a huge milestone!!!!
I do have a couple of questions though.....
What would you do abou the tc situation? I figure I'll give it a try, but I have the option of either the 89% or 92%.
The truck now has an odd shake to it for a second then stops for about three seconds then goes back to a rough idle/shake for a second. It only does it when its in park or neutral....not while in gear. What do you think is causing the weird idle issue? As I said eariler, it only does it when in neutral and park.

i rmember reading on here that some people who replaced there vp ended up with an idle that would be a bit rough like a miss or something, seems to be just when it is warmed up and not all the time might be that? my truck has that sort of ever since i replaced the pump.

I'm not sure where the pump came from as Sean at TLSE put it in. He's going to give them a call and see what they say. I didn't tap the pump yet so it shouldn't be a problem!
As for the TC, he's going to put in an 89 or 92 b/c this one just doesn't lock as solidly as I would have hoped....any suggestions?
