Aftermarket Intake Elbow's

I was wandering what people think about aftermarket intake elbow's. Is there that much to be gained for the money? Does the elbow enhance the airbox enough to really make a difference? I would think they would work in harmony, but I'm just guessing.

Your talking like the CFM+, AFE Blade runner, ECT... right? I have one and will never go back to stock. I feel that they flow much better than stock. espechaly after you start modding your truck. I feel its last bit of restriction on the intake side of the motor & every little bit helps. I know some people will disagree with me but that is my .02

on a 3rd gen yes they do help out alot...on the 24V...no they don't do much, yes they do flow better, but not as much as everyone thinks they do....but if you do the grid heater delete it WILL help out alot...has been dyno proven from a member on a different site (can't name names in public)..if i'm not mistaken it was like 12rwhp gain...

I read here that grid heater delete was proven on a dyno not to do anything.

24 valve little or nothing gained with intake elbow or heater grid delete. Motor will make over 600hp with both the way they are.

true, but every lil bit helps though...since some people like myself, we don't need the heater grid where i'm from in SC....12hp is 12hp...well that's the way i look at it...
